The company ZZAP was founded in 1989 by Pero and Zora Marincic. The first own core products were frequency converters and power supplies. A bit less than 200 pieces were delivered and installed, some of them still active today.

Later on the company specialised itself in microelectronic and internet solutions as well as providing service of spare parts supply.
